What WE Believe
We believe the King James Bible to be the divine, inspired, inerrant, and infallible
Word of God. God has preserved His
Word, and it is not to be changed or altered in any way. (Revelation 22:18-19; Psalm 12:6-7)
We believe in one true and living God made up of three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This God is the Creator of all. (Ephesians 4:6; Matthew 3:16-17; Colossians 1:16-17)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God; He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a perfect life and died as the perfect Lamb of God for the forgiveness of our sins.
He was buried and rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; He now sits at the right hand of the Father. (John 1:1, John 10:30; Matthew 1:18; John 1:29; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Mark 16:19)
We believe that God created man in His own image and out of the dust of the ground. Man sinned, and thereby sin entered the world. Every person born is born as a sinner. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)
We believe that sin must be paid for. Jesus Christ is the only one Who is able to pay our debt of sins. He did this by shedding His blood on the cross. Good works cannot save anyone; the only way to be saved is by personally believing on Jesus Christ and receiving Him as Savior. (Romans 5:8; Colossians 1:14; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6)
We believe in a literal burning Hell and that all who do not receive Christ as their Savior will spend eternity in the lake of fire under the punishment and wrath of a holy and righteous God. (Revelation 20:13-15; Mark 9:44, 46, 48; Luke 16:1931; Deuteronomy 32:22)
We believe in the personal and imminent return of Christ to take believers back to Heaven with Him. (John 14:3; Revelation 3:11, Revelation 22:7, 12, 20)
We believe that God has instituted and ordained the church to perform His will from now until His return. This will includes evangelizing the lost and training believers. Because this responsibility has been given to the church, Springvale Christian Academy will operate under the control of Springvale Baptist Church and will be held responsible to the church. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; II Timothy 2:2)
